This event is held every three years and aims to develop solutions to the biggest challenges that are currently being faced. In addition, it considers that the people are the ones most affected by the great corruption that exists internationally. This is why on June 20th last year, the Chancellor of the Republic of Peru posed this problem as the central theme for the summit.<\/p>\n<p>For the last few months, the event\u2019s host country decided to use a series of consultations to identify the reforms needed to combat the serious problems of corruption in the Americas. Upon the summit\u2019s completion, participating countries are expected to acquire and adopt concrete actions to improve overall processes.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Countries_that_will_participate_in_the_8th_Summit_of_the_Americas\"><\/span>Countries that will participate in the 8th Summit of the Americas<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominica, Ecuador, El Salvador, United States, Grenada, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Dominican Republic, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Saint Lucia,\u00a0 Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago and Uruguay.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_heads_of_state_and_government_who_will_attend_the_8th_Summit_of_the_Americas\"><\/span>The heads of state and government who will attend the 8th Summit of the Americas<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The 8th Summit of the Americas will be attended by important heads of state and government such as: Enrique Pe\u00f1a Nieto (president of Mexico), Danilo Medina S\u00e1nchez (president of the Dominican Republic), Keith Christopher Rowley (president of Trinidad and Tobago), Donald J.
