Nazca Lines
These lines are enormous geometrical lines and drawings located in the Nazca desert. The method used by ancient settlers to create these large geoglyphs is still unknown today. The lines can be viewed from viewpoints scattered throughout the desert or from small planes, which can be hired in the area.
The most striking figures are the hummingbird, the monkey with nine fingers, and a strange figure known as the owl man, which some say has a striking resemblance to an astronaut.
Paracas National Reserve
